The Mastercard General Debit Card is a Kenya Shilling denominated Debit card issued in partnership with Mastercard Worldwide.
This card can be used for making ATM cash withdrawals, purchases via POS terminals and online transactions.
The card is accepted both locally and internationally and is linked to GTBank Kenya current accounts.
Issued upon request to all Guaranty Trust Bank (Kenya) Limited Individual, Business, NGO and Corporate account holders.
Issuance of a General Debit Card costs KES 600 plus 20% excise.
Local and International ATM daily withdrawals: KES 40,000
Local and International POS daily transactions: KES 200,000
International online daily transactions limit: KES 5,000 NB: Limits can be amended upon request
Card replacement or renewal charge is KES 600 plus 20% excise.
Note: A charge of KES 35 applies for every cash withdrawal on GTBank ATMs; KES 70 on Interswitch/Kenswitch enabled ATMs and KES 200 on MasterCard branded ATMs outside the country. *All charges are exclusive of 20% excise*.
